In the comments of my last post, Katie pointed out that Lena and I have a similar talent: we can show you our brains through our nostrils.
I know you can’t tell by my timeless perm, but that picture was taken in the early 90s. The calendar behind my head says October 1992, so it was fall of my senior year. And, no, I didn’t get my perm at the mall. Where I come from, only the fanciest of fancy people could get their perms done at the mall. My mom was just trying to get a decent picture, but I couldn’t help it. It’s a gift and I won’t hide my light under a bushel. And I won’t fault Lena for sharing her gift, either.
So did you get your perm at in your Mom’s fancy kitchen? Not that I ever did that-I only went there for a color.
