Can you click over to Studio 35 and see why I love Columbus? It’s the little things. A Big Lebowski weekend? With a Wii bowling tournament? And the inauguration on the big screen? With a parade? Come on. The love bursts forth from my heart (not my loins, those are private).

It was hard to feel anything but cold about Columbus today, but then my friend AmazonMidwife emailed me about the inauguration thing at Studio 35 and my heart leapt. And then I clicked over to Studio 35′s website and saw the Dude-A-Thon and then I squealed (I don’t actually squeal with my voice, but in my heart I am a squealer). The Big Lebowski is my favorite. Now I don’t care about the weather; it will be in the 30s again soon and all shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well, in the name of Jesus. Again, not that Jesus, this Jesus.

What are we doing Inaugaration Day? Also, do you have a cure for whining? Aside from debarking because that seems inhumane? Because I’m going to have to shove an icepick in my ear in about five seconds.

I know! I’m RSVP’d on FB as a “maybe” for the Dude-a-Thon. I don’t have anyone to go with, though (batting my eyelashes at you.)

I think I’ll watch the inauguration on the TV with the fam.

Walking to Studio35 is one of the best things about living where I do. We plan to take in some of the inauguration there.

Alas, my husband (i.e. child caregiver) will be out of town at a movie marathon this weekend so I can’t get to the dude-a-thon. Maybe I should gather ingredients for a white russian to drink in solidarity.

P.S. I think it was in the 80s here today, but it got rilly rilly cold tonight. Might get down in the 40s or 30s overnight.

I’m so sorry. This is one of the ways Californians amuse themselves in the winter. You can get me back during the next big earthquake.
