Meme: Passion Quilt
Dawn tagged me with a really hard meme. But I still love her.
# Think about what you are passionate about teaching your students.
# Post a picture from a source like FlickrCC or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about…and give your picture a short title.
# Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt” and link back to this blog entry.
# Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.
I’m tagging Mechelle, Sharon, TTPG, Alissa and AmazonMidwife.
The most important thing I want these extraordinary kids to know is that they matter. What they think matters. What they feel matters. What they want matters. What they don’t want matters. I’m trying to come up with something more, but that’s it. I want them to know themselves in different ways that might be unexpected even to themselves. I want them to be boundless in self-discovery and fearless in self-expression. I want them to know that they are powerful.

the night before the fair AND our medieval history class and you want something thoughtful and reasoned? Why ya gotta hate on me like that? *martyred sigh* All right; I’ll see what I can dream up tonight while sleeping. But you’re not gonna get it real soon, sister.

Ooh, you crazy unschoolers! You anarchists! You didn’t post pictures of doors! You FLUNK! But since you’re an unschooler what the hell do you care? You scoff at rules! Hahahaha!!!!!!

(Oh ummm, your kids are cute. That gets you from an F to a C minus. LUCKY FOR YOU, MISSY!)

Oh wait, I read the meme wrong. I flunk. (Your kids are still cute.)

Do you think I’m the most postingest commenter you’ve ever had? I’m just commenting to say that.

(I leave really long messages on people’s voicemail, too. They’re so long that my sister always forgets I’m not actually on the phone and starts answering me.)

LOL! Last night I read that meme over and over trying to find where it said something about doors because you and that other person did doors. I couldn’t find it, but you have no idea how very little I trust myself to be able to follow simiple directions, so I was all sweaty and nervous posting it.

LOL! Dawn shouldn’t feel bad. I am the queen of the LOOOOOOOOONG comments. I’ll try to keep this one short - oh shit - you tagged me! Your kids ARE cute and you are a beautiful mom/person that I am blessed to know and have in my life. Yes. They matter. It is just that simple isn’t it? Why doesn’t it feel simple then?

okay this comment thingy is pissing me off because I keep getting an error message everytime I leave a comment and I never know if it actually went through or not and it is just one more thing I have to fight with instead of addressing my real issues I’m getting mad at word press and my computer is that healthy? Guh!

Not my fault. Wordpress said it couldn’t save the first comment, so I re-commented. Wordpress needs its own ‘Savant.

the ‘Savant informed me that I didn’t follow the meme and link back to your post. But would he fix it for me? Nooooo, I had to sweat it out myself. Doesn’t he know that I’m saving my brainspace for more important things? Nonetheless, the link is now up.
